During climbing with Mike on Friday afternoon he mentioned that he needed to leave early because his wife and kids were headed to a fest in Weiden. I didn't have a clue there was going to be a fest in Weiden and I live 30 steps off the haupstrasse but sure enough when I arrived home the city was full of people walking, eating brats, and listening to music so naturally the family postponed leaving for Garmisch for the next morning and started walking through downtown enjoying the festivities.
